Renne "Ron" Rodriguez

Renne “Ron” Rodriguez passed Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Funeral service will take place at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro.

Ronnie was born November 27, 1966, in Lockney, Texas to Rosa and Ramon Rodriguez. The family later moved to Hillsboro where Ronnie graduated high school and met his love Julie Williams, and some would add, caused a little mischief along the way. Ronnie later attended Hill Jr. College and Southwest Texas State (as he would say NOT Texas State). Julie and Ronnie settled in Cedar Hill, Texas, having a daughter Emily Rodriguez and in their later years George Rodriguez.

Ronnie was a Senior Right of Way agent working from Martinsburg, WV and the Mississippi Delta to Victoria and Shiner, Texas to Price, Utah to Lubbock, Texas, and all points in between, working with people who have become dear friends. He loved what he did, which never made it seem like work.

His daughter Emily was his baby girl and an incredible mother to his first and only grandchild, Benicio, his pride and joy. Ronnie enjoyed every sports anytime, especially the local Dallas teams. He was so happy to be able to spend the time with George watching the Texas Rangers win the World Series. Baseball was also a great chance to form lasting friendships and memories from the various teams George has played in over the last few years. He loved watching and coaching any of George’s sports teams.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ronnie Williams of Dallas. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Julie Williams Rodriguez, daughter Emily, son George and grandson Benicio. His is also survived by his parents, Rosa and Ramon Rodriguez of Hillsboro, brother Raymond Rodriguez and family of Lorena, sister Linda Charlton and family of Hillsboro, his mother-in-law Sandra Williams of Dallas and brother-in-law Keith Williams and family of Dallas. Additionally, many aunts, uncles and cousins survive him.
