Ricardo Franco Villa, Sr.

Ricardo Franco Villa, Sr., of Milford, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, in Waco, Texas.  Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall in Hillsboro, Texas.  Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall in Hillsboro.

Born on August 4, 1960, in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico to Ernesto and Maria (Franco) Villa, Ricardo worked as a welder for twenty years for tank companies in Mexia, Texas.  He then entered the tree business, hauling trees and delivering them to nurseries and locations for planting.  Ricardo loved the tree business so much that he was often distracted when driving looking at tree fields.  He never met a stranger and was a Pastor who loved to share the gospel and introduce Jesus to people in order that they might be born again.  He returned from Georgia with Suzie, his wife, and wanted to share the Lord with family.  Ricardo would witness to anyone who would lend him an ear and was always eager to win a soul.  Prisons, restaurants, the internet, and phone calls were all places he preached and shared the Good News.

Preceded in death by his mother, Maria Villa and son, Adam Villa, Ricardo is survived by his wife, Suzanna (Hernandez) Villa; his father, Ernesto Villa; his children, Angelette Villa, Ernest Villa, Ricardo Villa, Jr., and Christopher Vicente Villa; his brothers, Raynaldo Villa and Eduardo Villa; his sisters, Maria Gomez and her husband Jose, Juanita Montano and her husband Juan, Elaina Gonzales and her husband Edmundo, Patricia Villa, and Monica Villa.
