Richard Keith Campbell, 58, of Bynum passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Edward Sumrall and Rev. Paul Clark officiating. Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro were in charge of arrangements.
Richard was born January 19, 1956 in Waco to Edward Lee and Wanda Virginia (Redden) Campbell. In his younger years, he loved to go fishing and coon hunting. On November 16, 1978, he married Sylvia Castillo in Waco. He was the owner and operator of Campbell Trucking Company for many years before going to work for several years at Conway Southern Express in Dallas. Tinkering and working in his shop was something he very much enjoyed doing. A very good truck mechanic, everyone always asked Richard his advise when needing help working on their own trucks. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Neil Campbell.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sylvia Campbell of Bynum; three children, Keith Campbell and wife, Samantha, Joey Campbell, and Ashlie Campbell, all of Bynum; brother, Randall Campbell and wife, Roni, of Iowa Park; two sisters, Deborah Lowery and husband, George, of Gholson and Karen Svoboda of Cleburne; seven grandchildren, Tommy, Lana, Jaylon, Keeley, Ashton, Kinley, and Taegan; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
