Biography

Richard Cox, 75, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at Noon Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 noon Thursday prior to service time at the funeral home.

Richard was born November 21, 1938 in Dallas to Buster and Uva (Cline) Cox. A loving husband and father, Richard enjoyed raising race horses, playing his guitar, and was an excellent carpenter. Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Johnson of Hillsboro; four children, Richard Cox, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Hillsboro, Chuck Cox and wife Tina,of Lake Dallas, Harland Cox of Iowa, and Caroline Cox Sellers and husband, Travis, of Conway, Arkansas; two sisters, Joann Cox Manson of Dallas and Carol Cox Tabor of Justin; five grandchildren, Brandon Cox, Stephanie Cox, Donovan Cox, Garret Cox, and Sullivan Cox; and five great-grandchildren, Aiden Cox, Makayla Sellers, Will Sellers, Riley Sellers, Tyler Sellers.
