Richard Dilorenzo

Richard Louis DiLorenzo, 78, of Whitney, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at a Waco hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Richard was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 21, 1936, to Anthony Joseph and Louise (Landry) DiLorenzo. On April 14, 1956, in Jefferson, Louisiana, he married Sandy Snow. As executive vice-president, he worked for Intrepid Enterprises in Harvey, Louisiana, before retiring in 2001 after about 20 years of service. He and Sandy moved to Whitney 9 years ago from Kenner, Louisiana. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed playing golf. But, his true passion was wood-carving.

He served his country in the National Guard and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Jefferson, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Riley.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, of Whitney; daugher, Terri deSaracho and husband, Carlos, of Rowlett and Lori DiLorenzo-Ware of Hammond, Louisiana; grandchildren, Matt deSaracho and wife, Angie of Gainsville, VA and Lexi deSaracho of Rowlett.
