Richard Kelly

Richard Wayne Kelly,53, of Aquilla passed away at his residence on April 11, 2015. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney with Rev. Bill Mayfield officiating.

Richard was born November 2, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to Virgil and Carole (Miller) Kelly. He graduated from Red Oak High School and served in the National Guard for 14 years. When he was not working around the turkey farms, he enjoyed water skiing, surfing, football, and riding his motorcycle. Also birdwatching and knowing the kinds of all the birds was a pastime that he enjoyed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carole; brother, Chris; and infant brother, Scott.

Richard is survived by his father, Virgil H. Kelly of Aquilla; sisters, Marilyn LaVaune McKelvey of Aquilla and Donna Wall of College Station. He is also survived by nephew, Joe McKelvey, III and wife, Myra of Plano; niece, Theresa LaVaune Terrazas and husband, Juan of Balch Springs; Aunt Charlotte Mindal and Uncle Dan Mindal; 5 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
