Richard Mikeska

Richard Mikeska 69, of Whitney passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Grave side services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Pastor Gerald Dudley of the Open Range Cowboy Church will be officiating. The visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Richard was born on May 17, 1947 in Waco to the late Walter V. and Albina ( Girard) Mikeska. He married Betty Sue Anthony in West on August 10, 1975. Richard owned Mikeska Septic Tank Service in Hill County for 21, years. Richard served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife Betty Mikeska of Whitney; children, Scott Alan Jones and wife Tina of Hewitt, Kevin Joseph Mikeska and wife Nikkie of Whitney; grandchildren, Garrett, Gabby, Nathan and Haley and faithful companion “Pudgi.”
