Rick Lee, 61, of Whitney, passed away on January 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, with Pastor Rob McDonald and Assistant Pastor William Shelton of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Abbott officiating. Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Rick was born on September 21, 1955, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Jack and Lenda (Moody) Lee. As a child, he was a member of the Boy Scouts, played baseball and loved bowling. He graduated from high school and moved to Whitney at the age of 18. He worked in the sign industry as a master electrician for more than 32 years in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

On March 23, 1991, he married Bonnie Shelton Lee. Rick loved spending time with his family, grilling steaks, going to the lake, fishing and playing cards.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a granddaughter, Kylee Haygood.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Lee of Whitney; children, Sandra Haygood, Jamie Huggins, and Melissa Lee; grandchildren, Baylie, Hunter, Christian, Kaelyn, Reagan, Jarrett; brothers, Jack Lee and wife, Betty of Whitney; sister Janeen Cox and husband, Ray of Jefferson; and many loving nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
