Robbie Robertson

Robbie Mae Robertson, 97, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Meridian Manor Nursing Home in Meridian. Robbie was born June 14, 1911 in Hill County, Texas the daughter of James Robert and Rose Anna Walker Moore. She lived in Hill County most of her life and had resided in Meridian since December 1993. On November 26, 1931 she married Nangle Robertson and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1959. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro. An avid piano player, Robbie played by ear. She loved to crochet and was a good cook. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and two sons-in-law. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce M. Smith and husband, Frank, of Cleburne, and Sue Corpier of Clifton; three grandchildren, Linda Kay Alley and husband, David, of North Carolina, Gary Joe Waldie and wife, LeAnn, of Godley, and James David Corpier and wife, Janet, of Clifton; six great-grandchildren: Michelle Alley of North Carolina, Jennifer Sisson and husband, Cole, of Alabama, Derek Kraig Corpier and Brandi Corpier both of Clifton, and Alyssa Waldie and Joel Waldie both of Godley; and four great-great-grandchildren, Alycia Alley of North Carolina, and Tyler, Gabrielle, and Cody Sisson all of Alabama.
