Robert Anderson, Jr

Robert Anderson, Jr., 74, of Whitney died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, near Whitney. Robert was born January 27, 1935 in Whitney the son of Robert and Cora Lee Wilson Anderson. He grew up and lived all of his life in Whitney. In 1979 he married Bobbie Jewell Green and she preceded him in death in 1993. For most of his life he was a mechanic and rancher. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Whitney Riding Club. Robert was a man with a big heart that loved his family. Also preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Ruby and Ida Mae Anderson; and a grandson, Timothy Clark. Survivors include the mother of his children, Bertha Kennard Towler of Waco; children, Patricia Keys of Plano, Rickey Anderson and Gerald Anderson both of Waco, Anthony Anderson of Houston, Lori Young and Shawn Anderson both of Waco, and Bennie Anderson and Sandra Anderson both of Fort Worth; brothers, Ivey Anderson, Jasper Anderson, James Anderson, Joe Anderson, and Charles Anderson all of Whitney; sisters, Viola Anderson and Maggie Anderson both of Whitney; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; long time friend, Ted O?Neal of Whitney; special friend of Robert?s, Mildred McCreary; special friend of the family and children, Lola Lowe; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
