Robert Birdwell Sr

Bob was the son of John Allen and Ila Mae Howell Birdwell. He was a verteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Army for two years. On June 16, 1952 he married Betty Sue Crisp in Hillsboro. They moved to Dallas where he attended Neilson Beauty College and then moved to Fort Worth where he owned and operated LaFemme Beauty Salons and ended up at Neilson Beauty College as owner and operator for thirty years. Bob was a member of the Church on the Hill, the Men's Downtown Bible Class, Hillsboro Masonic Lodge 196 AF & AM, Itasca's R.E. Lee Masonic Lodge 449 AF & AM. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Wayne Birdwell. Survivors include: his wife Betty Sue Birdwell of Hillsboro; children, Tokey Birdwell and wife, Sharlyn of Blum, Bobett Birdwell of Mansfield, Robert Birdwell and wife Shelia of Lingleville; brother John Howell "Bud" Birdwell of Garland; sisters, Thelma Jo Curtis of Hillsboro and Bennie Barbara Buck of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchldren and several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
