Robert Lloyd George, II, 58, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, in a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Eddie Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Hickey Cemetery near Hillsboro. Robert will lie in state from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, at the funeral home.
Robert was born November 4, 1961, in Washington, PA, to Robert Lloyd, Sr. and Phyllis Mary (Penrod) George. He grew up in Grand Prairie and attended high school at Grand Prairie High School. While in high school, he went to work for A1 Marble Company and continued working there until he went to work for Wal-Mart 5 years ago. He quickly excelled to the manager’s position at Wal-Mart. On July 15, 2000, he was united in marriage to Dephne George. Robert loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and being surrounded by his family.
Preceding him in death was his father, Robert Lloyd George, Sr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 19 years, Dephne George; mother, Phyllis George; daughter, Celeste Elsaesser; brothers, James George and wife, Laurie, and Clark George; sister, Barbara Harris and husband, David; sister-in-law, Sherry George; grandchildren, Brittani Padilla, Ashleigh Morel, Courtnee Straley, and Destinee Elsaesser; great-grandchildren, Lupito, Lilly, Penguin, Beckham, Hynlee, Layla, and Kasyn; five nieces; and three nephews.
