Robert Everett Hill 74, of Whitney passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 21, 2015. A private graveside service was held.

Robert was born on May 11, 1940 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Simon and Jewel (Carrico) Hill.
He spent most of his life mining for uranium and some years later he started mining limestone. Robert worked for Texas Lime Minerals and Natural Gas in Cleburne for 30 years, retiring as a manager in 2005. He was a very proud mason and member of the Blue Mesa Masonic Lodge in Grants, New Mexico, he was also a member of the Lions Club, Rotary Club and served on the Council of the Arts in Grants, New Mexico. Robert had many pastimes that he enjoyed, he was an avid car lover, especially his 1998 Eldorado Cadillac. Robert was a pilot and enjoyed flying his Cesna airplane and reading, but most of all he loved spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren. A very strong and couragous man, he battled cancer the last 3 years even driving himself to his last chemo treatment. He was of the Catholic faith.

Preceding him in death was his son Bobby Hill Jr. and brother Larry Hill.

Survivors include his children; Heather DeFrancesco, Marisa Proctor and husband Gary, Graham Hill and fiancé Serissa, brother; Richard Hill, sisters; Jean Elliott and Daisy McClure, grandchildren; Ashley DeFrancesco, Everett Proctor, Erin Proctor, Simon Hill, and Cheri Hill, the mother of his children.
