Robert Michael Jordan, a man whose life was a testament to kindness and resilience, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025. Robert, age 52, was born in Hillsboro, Texas on January 5, 1973. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Robert is survived by his mother Linda Jordan, brother James Jordan and wife Christi, and a niece and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his father, George Jordan, grandparents Freeland and Juanita Durant, Hugh and Pauline Jordan, and several aunts and uncles.
Robert was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by devotion, strength, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. He accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Texas. Later in his life he was led to and became a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Texas. While Robert was attending college, he continued his faith and fellowship with Highland Baptist Church in Denton, Texas.
After graduating from Hillsboro High School and overcoming many difficult challenges from a traumatic incident, Robert went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University and a Master's degree from the University of North Texas. Robert married Melissa Lee Moore of Conroe on June 3, 2000. After spending several beautiful years together, they later divorced. Robert worked for the Department of Labor helping many people with disabilities. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. Robert's tenacity, grace, and love will live on in each of us.
We welcome all who knew Robert to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was a true inspiration. Visitation will be held on April 25, 2025, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM, April 26, 2025, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, 2495 Corsicana Highway, Hillsboro, Texas.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to West Volunteer Ambulance Service, 411 Meadow Dr. West, TX 76691 or Central Baptist Church building fund, 1100 Old Bynum Rd, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
