Robert Lampkin

Don was born November 23, 1927 in Dallas the son of John Mack and Etta Lampkin. In 1945 he graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas. He served in the U. S. Army and then the Merchant Marines. He began working for Tempco, now Lockheed Martin, before retiring in 1988. On June 15, 1968 he married Wyona Fidler in Arlington. They resided in Arlington before moving to Hillsboro in 1994, where he was active with the North Texas Airstream Community. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Preceding him in death was a grandson, Dino Lanzano. Survivors include his wife, Wyona Lampkin of Hillsboro; a niece, Linda Kay Moser of Woodbury, NJ; three children, Mary Susan Dalpee of Washington, D.C., Dee Ann Lanzano and husband, Michael, of Drexel Hill, PA, and Dr. David Bonnell and wife, Pat, of Germantown, MD; and four grandchildren, James Dalpee, Michael Carlo Lanzano, Megan Bonnell, and Elizabeth Bonnell.
