Robert “Bob” Glenn Martin, 70, of Whitney, passed away on July 31, 2017, in Waco. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Dr. Allan Lane, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, at the funeral home.

Bob was born on October 4, 1946, in Fort Worth, to Charles and Betty (Moler) Martin and lived most of his life in the Metroplex. He moved to Whitney in 1993 and on January 17, 2011, he married Eileen Hughes.

He served two tours of duty in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion in Whitney. For 10 years he worked as a millwright. As a guitar player, he loved music and he loved to tell stories and ride his motorcycle.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Christine.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen Martin of Whitney; children, Jeremy Martin of Fort Worth, Clint Marks of Arlington and Clay Marks of Lewisville; six grandchildren, and a brother, John Charles Martin of Kennesaw, Georgia.
