Robert Pelham

Robert Harold Pelham, 70, went home to be with Jesus December 11, 2007. Robert was born Aug. 2, 1937 to Harold Warnell and Maurine CarmichelPelham. He married Leta Ellison on April 28, 1961 in Whitney. He worked for the Texas Dept. of Transportation for 32 years. He was a member of the Towash Baptist Church and Woodman of the World. Robert loved to work with wood carving, made knives and canes and could draw and paint very well. He also loved music and singing, hunting, fishing and cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evelene Rust and brother, Bill Pelham. Survivors include his wife, Leta of Whitney; children, Harold Douglas Pelham of Whitney, Tina Michelle Early and husband, J. R. of Keller; brothers, Johnny Pelham and wife, Ruth of Whitney, Charles Pelham and wife, Joyce of San Antonio, Kenneth Pelham and wife, Linda of Whitney; sisters, Caroline Sosebee and husband, Travis of Whitney, Jane Dickerson and husband, Gary of Deer Park; six grandchildren, Samatha, Jacob and Autumn Pelham all of Itasca, Lindsay, Whitney and Bailey Early all of Keller and great grandchild, Savannah Pelham of Itasca.
