Robert Gene Rose

Robert Gene Rose, age 83 of Whitney, Texas passed away Sunday February 6, 2022, in Waco, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, February 11, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Bruce Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Valley Cemetery in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, February 10, 2022.

Robert was born November 15, 1938, in Brownfield, Texas to John Riley and Mary Elizabeth Rose. He was in the US Army, he worked in the petroleum Oil field for over 41 years, and 21 years with Oxydential City Service. Bob and Carleen retired to Whitney, Texas in 2002. Robert enjoyed camping with his family, going to Las Vegas, and watching sports. He also loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carleen Rose; brothers and sisters, Gladys Geneva, Jay Rose, Cue Rose, Inez Duffy, Irene Brown, Ed Rose, Nina Depoister, Fay Warren, Donald Rose, Christine Purvis, Mark Rose; and parents, John Riley and Mary Elizabeth Rose.

Robert is survived by his children, Scott Rose and wife Teresa of Levelland, Brian Rose and wife Lisa of Sundown, Carrie Glass and husband Matt Glass of Cibolo; and sister, Mary Nell of Odessa, grandchildren, Aaron Jordan Rose, Audra Breann Rose, Lawrence Riley Rose, Robert Evan Rose, and Rian Michael Rose of Levelland, and Michael Alan Glass and Nathan Tyler Glass both of Cibolo.
