Robert Upchurch

Robert was born October 13, 1928 in Hill County, Texas to Rayburn and Early Mae West, Upchurch. Robert married Geneva Lois Nix at her parents residence in Covington the 12th of October, 1946. In 1985, after 38 years of service he retired from the Santa Fe Railway as a carman. Robert was a member of the Covington Church of Christ. He restored old cars and spent many happy days attending car shows and driving his antique cars in area parades. Preceding him in death were his parents: Rayburn Upchurch on July 9, 1990 and Early Mae Priddy on August 29, 2004, and also a brother, Leon Upchurch on August 21, 2001. Robert was survived by his wife, Lois Nix Upchurch of Covington; children: Rayburn Upchurch and his wife, Cassandra of Duncanville, Brenda Adams and her husband, Harold of Covington, Paula Willis and her husband, Rick of Covington; grandsons: Timothy Roberts, Blue Willis, Damon Willis and Jason Upchurch; grandaughters: Charlotte Roberts, and Britni Upchurch; great grandchildren: Adam Roberts and Katy Willis; sisters: Ruth Burks of Fort Worth, Sue Priddy and her husband, Dean of China Springs, and Ollie Grimard and her husband, Phil of Commerce City, Colorado.
