Robert Watkins

Robert Dewitt Watkins, 77 passed away on Feb. 23, 2010 in Waco. Robert was born on Dec. 1, 1932 in Brownfield, the son of the late DeWitt and Elizabeth Hewitt Watkins. On July 1, 1953, he married Betty Smith in Weatherford. He served his country in the United States Air Force enlisting on Dec. 15, 1952 and retiring on Jan. 31, 1975. Robert also worked for Tarrant County College in administration and retired in 1995. He was an avid fisherman and traveler. He loved and enjoyed his family and was a member of the Whitney Fellowship Church. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Beryl Duvall. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Whitney; daughters, Susan Bradford and husband Chris of Whitney, Nancy Romo and husband Richard of Honolulu, Hawaii; four grandchildren, Neil Bradford and wife Megan, Ashley Martin and husband Cliff, Bobby Romo , Eric Romo and great granddaughter, Makayla Martin.
