Roland And Jane Anderson

Jane Henrietta (Butler) Anderson passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at home in Grandview, Texas.  Roland Lee Anderson followed Jane in death Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Grandview, Texas.  Jane was born on October 17, 1940, in Waco, Texas, to William Clarence and Auta Kyle (Kemp) Butler.  Roland was born on November 28, 1938, in Clifton, Texas, to Lee Clement and Gladys Ophelia (Wallace) Anderson.  Roland and Jane were united in marriage on August 28, 1959, at the Valley Mills Church of Christ.

In addition to her most significant role of wife, mother and homemaker, Jane worked in Accounts Payable at So-Lo Auto Parts, served as Office Manager for Long and Jones Dental Office and was the Dental Receptionist for Dr. Regan in Clifton. Roland served in the Texas National Guard for eight years, from January 1956 to January 1964 and worked as a Project Manager in the construction industry.  Roland and Jane owned and operated Jack and Jill Donuts and Incredible Edibles.  A Master Gardener, Jane served as President of the Iris Society.  Her hobbies included yard work, jewelry making and furniture restoration, however, her happiest time on earth was spent surrounded by family and worshipping with her church family as a member of Grandview Church of Christ.  Roland, who was also a member of Grandview Church of Christ, enjoyed woodworking, pottery and ceramics, coin collecting, and raising livestock.

Preceded in death by their parents, Jane and Roland are survived by their children, Melisa and her husband Lanny Reed, Michele and her husband Maxie Fowler, Wade and his wife Treva Anderson; grandchildren, Lydon and his wife Stacy Reed, Trenton and his wife Lauren Reed, Tabitha and her husband Clifton Rotenberry, Tashia and her husband Anthony Garza, Ashlee and her husband Caleb Thompson, Mason and his wife Madison Anderson, Madison and her husband, Weston Gray; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Wesson, Rylee and Cooper Reed, Tinsley and Wren Rotenberry, Brinlee, Gunner and Easton Garza, Cetch and Townslee Thompson, Wyatt and Landry Gray, Brooks Anderson, who is on the way, Jane’s sister, Pat Rico’t and Roland’s brother, Rex Anderson.
