Ron Ray Heron

Ronald Ray Heron passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at his home. He will lie in state on Friday, May 1, 2020, from 9AM -5PM at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. A Church service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church  in Grandview, Texas, with Rev. Daniel So officiating,

Ron was born September 6, 1944, in Exeter, Virginia.  Ron was an Army veteran, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam in 1968-1969.  Ron was a life member of the Grandview Masonic Lodge, a member of the Moslah Shrine Temple, and attended the First United Methodist Church.  Ron’s favorite things included family events, making children laugh, and caring for animals.

Ron is survived by his wife, Cynthia Younger Heron, two sons John Christopher Heron and Casey Wayne Heron, three daughters Jennifer Nicole Heron (Zack Brown), Sarah Lynn Davis (Zeth Davis), and Amanda Lee Heron, four grandchildren (Dakota, Haylee, Troy, and Gracyn) and two great-grandchildren (Bostyn and Harper).  He is also survived by two brothers, William Heron and Robert Heron, of Indiana, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Shriners Children’s’ Hospital, the First United Methodist Church of Grandview, or the charity of your choice.
