Ronald Odell Orr

Ronald Orr, age 87, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2024, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, Texas. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM, Friday, June21, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Hillsboro, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro.

He was born May 7, 1937, to Durwood and Thelma Orr. Ronald attended Hillsboro schools, graduating in 1955. After high school, Ronald attended Navarro Junior College where he met his future wife, Beverly Bowden. They were married on August 10, 1956, in Corsicana, Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church and The Downtown Bible Class.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; two children, Ronda Hester and husband, Danny and James Orr and wife, Kim; three grandchildren, Daniel Orr and wife, Megan, J.T. Orr and wife, Kyndal, and Joshua Orr and wife, Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Ann Orr, Zoe Orr and Kaylie Orr and his special pet, Ellie. He also had numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
