Ronnie Hayes

Ronnie Hayes, age 75, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, November 16, 2018, in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Tommy McNutt officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2018, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born November 19, 1942, in Hillsboro, he was the son of George E. and Vanita (Sweeney) Hayes. He was raised in Hillsboro, lived here all his life and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He was married to his high school sweetheart Judith Kay Curry and she preceded him in death in 1999. Ronnie was a office manager for CertainTeed and worked for them for 26 years and then for Hill College for several years before retiring. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He knew no strangers, loved everyone and saw the positive in every situation.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, David Hayes in 2008; infant son, David Bryan Hayes.

Survivors include 3 children: Jason Hayes and wife, Sally of Whitney, Darren Hayes and wife, Keri of Crawford, and Jill Hayes of Pearland; brother, Billy Hayes of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Hannah Jones, Andrew Hayes, Lucas Hayes, Hattie Hayes, Jack Hayes, Brittney Hayes, Joshua Porter, and Deavan Porter; great-grandchildren, Jayvien, Braylon, Joshua Jr., Presley, Saleiah, and Drew.
