Ronnie Mack Plumlee, 70, of Clifton passed away at his residence on November 24, 2016. The family will hold a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, at Prairie Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Penney and Rev. Drew Tucker officiating. Inurnment of his cremains with military honors will be held at a later date at Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery in Bosque County.

Ronnie was born on June 23, 1946, in Clarendon, Arkansas, to William and Oma (Mavity) Plumlee. During the Vietnam War, he served his country with the Navy and the Marines. On May 14, 1977, he married Mary Ann Rowe in Marietta, Oklahoma. As an electronics technician, he worked for Southwestern Bell for 34 years.

Family was very important to him and he loved spending time with them and spoiling and playing with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working on the farm, especially while tending to his cattle and goats.

He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, he volunteered at Whitney Elementary School, helping students with reading comprehension, and he also found time to serve as President of Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery Association for many years.

An active and faithful member of Prairie Valley Baptist Church, he served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher, and faithfully attended a Men’s Prayer Group there for the past 26 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings, William S. and Marshall A. Plumlee and Patricia G. Mayo and Shirley S. Bruce.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Plumlee; mother-in-law, Nannie Jo Rowe; children, Ronnie D. Plumlee, Kimberly A. Graham and husband, Tracey, Robin N. Sliva and husband, Terry, Leah D. Reed and husband, Keith, and Isaac T. Plumlee; brothers, Robert L. Plumlee, Kenneth J. Plumee and wife, Carole, and Granville H. Plumlee and wife, Mary Lou; sister, Connie M. Johnson; grandchildren, Quinton L. Sliva, Rylie R. Graham, and Mavity D. Reed; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery Association, PO Box 5507. Laguna Park, TX 76644.
