Ross Darrow

Ross C. Darrow, 87, of Hillsboro died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Hill Regional Hospital. Ross was born February 12, 1922 in Milford, TX, where he grew up, son of the late Ross Chapman, Sr. and Willie Bowling Darrow. After high school graduation, he moved to Dallas and joined the Army. After serving in the U. S. Army, he worked for American Airlines for a short time in Dallas. On October 5, 1945 he married Gloria White and she preceded him in death on October 21, 2003. He worked in retail until 1963, in Dallas, and at that time the couple moved to Houston. While living in Houston he worked as a sales rep. In 1983, they moved back to the Hillsboro area. Ross did a lot of volunteer work especially at Hill Regional Hospital. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Senior Circle in Hillsboro.
