Biography

Roy Euel Jenkins, 57 of Bellmead passed away on June 30, 2012 in Waco. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 3, at Richland Cemetery in Mertens. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 Monday at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Born on March 3, 1955 in Grand Haven, Michigan, Roy spent his youth there until enlisting in the Marine Corps at age 17. Following his military service, he relocated to Texas living in the Houston and Dallas areas for a number of years. He also lived in Hillsboro for a time. For the past 8 years, he had lived in Waco where he was employed at Lochridge-Priest.

Survivors include three children, Jason Jenkins and wife, Abby of Centerville, Marvin Jenkins and wife, Kara of Benbrook, and Erin Jenkins of Corsicana; four grandchildren, Jaden Jenkins, Peyton Sedlacek, Piper Jenkins, and Elizabeth Jenkins; his aunt who raised him, Julia Jenkins of Michigan; two sisters, Romaine Boerma and Selina Jenkins; two close cousins, Marvin Jenkins and Debbie Akers; and girlfriend, Kathy Jordan.

Preceding him in death were his uncle, Mel Jenkins and sister, Paula Jenkins.
