Roy Mcknight

Roy Rea McKnight, 91, of Whitney passed away December 20, 2006 at Town Hall Estates in Whitney. He was the son of Raymon and Olive Rea McKnight. Roy served during World War II in the United States Navy on the USS Enterprise. On March 27, 1941 he married Clara Alice Swiger and she preceded him in death on May 14, 1987. He was a member of the Church of Christ and loved to write and sing songs, play the piano, organ, guitar and the french harp. Also preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Bonnie Brackeen. Survivors include his children, Carolyn Morris and husband, Ray of Tyler, Paula Cunningham and husband, Hollis of Whitney, David McKnight of Whitney; sisters, Ruby Moran of Abilene, Lula Green of Big Spring; grandchildren, Carla Anderson of Weatherford, Carren Whitt of Lindale, Christopher Fulton of Whitney, Eleisha Henkelman of Whitney, Holly Cunningham of Glen Rose, Jordan McKnight of Whitney; 8 great grandchildren.
