Ruby Lentz

Ruby was the daughter of Charlie and Annie Radke Kaddatz. She was baptized April 13, 1924 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Walling, TX by Rev. E. O. Baack with sponsors, Alice Sonnenberg and August Groppe. She was confirmed April 10, 1938 at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor John Striepe. Her confirmation verse was John 10: 27-28, ?My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. On April 1, 1944, she was married to Edward John Henry Lentz by Rev. George Heimemeier. Preceding her in death were her husband on August 7, 1990; sister, Lillian Hodde, in January 2004; and one brother, Weldon ?Sonny? Kaddatz, on August 18, 2006. Ruby lived in Hill County most of her life before moving to Waco in 2000. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro before transferring to Peace Lutheran Church in Hewitt. Survivors include her 4 sons and 1 daughter, Edward Lentz and wife, Elaine; Steven Lentz and wife, Doris, of Cypress; Russell Lentz and wife, Beth, of Red Oak; Evelyn Cowart of Waco; and Kevin Lentz and wife, Susan, of Lorena; 12 grandchildren, Edward Lentz, Joel Lentz, Paul Lentz, Amanda Lentz, Brian Lentz, Kevin Lentz, Stefani Cowart, Jonathon Myrick, Tori Lentz, Ashley Davis, Justin Lentz, and Eric Lentz;2 great-grandchildren, Joanna Lentz and Caleb Saenz; 2 brothers, Alvin Kowboy Kaddatz and wife, Nancy, of Hillsboro; and Ervin Kaddatz and wife, Mary, of West; and a sister-in-law, Frances Kaddatz of Hillsboro.
