Ruby Lloyd Salazar, 81, of Hillsboro died, Thursday, February 8, 2007, at Canterbury Villa Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Ruby was born July 19, 1925 in Hill County, Texas, where she was raised, the daughter of James Newman and Carrie Richardson Lloyd. In the late 1950's she moved to Fort Worth and returned to Hill County in the early 1970's. Sewing was not only her occupation but her hobby as well. She made dolls while in the nursing home, which were donated to children at Christmas. She was of the Assembly of God faith. Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Melvin and JD Lloyd; and two sisters, Allie Matthews and Ruthie Fae Duke. Survivors include two children, Patsy Ballard of Blum and James Vinson of Fort Worth; three sisters, Isabell Allison of Oklahoma, Dovie Jo Young of Fort Worth, and Jewel Gray of Georgia; nine grandchildren, David Bow and wife, Tina, of Malone; Darrell Bow and wife, Stephanie, of Seguin; LaDonna Poteet and husband, Tim, of Blum; and also, Jay, Jennifer, James, Robert, Casey, and Robert; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
