Ruby Warren

Ruby Warren, 91, of Scroggins passed away early Thursday morning, January 11, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Jeremy Durig of Seymore Bible Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery near Mertens. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, at the funeral home.

Born August 12, 1926 in Wortham, she was the daughter of Jack and Winnie (Weaver) Moore. In 1944, Ruby was united in marriage to Ben Henry Warren in Frost. He preceded her in death in 1983. Her entire life was spent as a housewife and working on the farm. Ruby loved to cook and made excellent cornbread and chocolate pies. She was of the Baptist faith.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and daughter, Jeanie Elaine Warren.

Survivors include her son, Benny Warren of Scroggins; brother, A. B. Moore of Longview; sister, Frances Dye of California; seven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
