Ruby Watson

She was the daughter of Harvey and Hattie Akins Waller. Mrs. Watson grew up and attended school in Hill County, TX where she met and married the love of her life and best friend, Ney Watson. They lived and worked together on their farm in Bynum, TX until moving to Hillsboro, TX in 1961. At that time she began working as a seamstress until retirement at age 65. She was a true example of a Christian woman who always put her family first. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age and her trust and faith in the Lord was evident throughout her 89 years on this earth. Mrs. Watson was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro where she helped with various church activities. She was well known far and wide for her wonderful country cooking, sewing and gardening, as well as her loving and caring ways. She leaves behind a legacy of a devoted Christian woman who gave her life to serving others. She will be missed by many, but never, ever forgotten. A special thank you goes to all the caring staff and friends at Itasca Nursing Home in Itasca, TX, Oakcreek Nursing Home in Luling, TX, and Odyssey Hospice in Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Bonnie; her beloved husband of 61 years, Ney; sister, Willie Bruton; and three brothers, G. B. Waller, Dennis ?Pug? Waller, and Roscoe Waller.
