Ruth Williams

Ruth Williams, 82, of Lubbock died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in Lubbock. Ruth was born November 5, 1926 in Hill County, Texas the daughter of Wilbur and Mamie Ozella Campbell Jordan. She grew up in Hill County and graduated from Hillsboro High School. In 1952 she married Clayton Williams. For a number of years she worked at T. B. Bond Drug. In 1961 they moved to Kress, then to Tulia in 1979, and finally to Lubbock in 2006. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Tulia. Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Patsy Sides. Survivors include her husband, Clayton Williams of Lubbock; three children, Jerry Clayton Williams and wife, Jane, of Waxahachie, and Gary Don Williams and Lisa Gaye Marmolejo and husband, Mike, all of Lubbock; three sisters, Velva Kimbrow and Leora McLean both of Hillsboro, and Bobbie Curlee and husband, Jack, of Waxahachie; six grandchildren, Kaitlin Williams, Sara Williams, Lindsey Williams, Brett Marmolejo, Conner Marmolejo, and Mason Marmolejo; several nieces; and a nephew. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
