Ruthie Rolan

Ruthie L. Rolan, 68, of Abbott died Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Fort Worth. Ruthie was born December 31, 1939 in Lampasas, Texas the daughter of Henry and Susie Cole Dunn. On February 23, 1957 she married James Rolan in Burnett and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2002. Before retiring in 2000, she was a saw operator at Robin Tech. She loved to fish and was of the Baptist faith. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Ellen Gardner; and a granddaughter, Sylvia Shaw. Survivors include her children, James Rolan and Robert Rolan both of Abbott and Pamela Shaw of Whitney; two sisters, Dorothy Mitchell of Izrio, TX and Marie Banks of Burnett; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
