Sally (Dominguez) Abrego

Sally Dominguez Abrego of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the age of seventy-three, surrounded by her loving husband and children. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 11, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, with burial to follow at Ridge Park Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall, Hillsboro.

She was born in Taft, Texas, on February 12, 1951, to Felipe and Casimira Dominguez and will always be remembered for her giving heart and her great faith. Everyone who walked into her kitchen knew they would be well fed. Sally will especially be remembered for her homemade fried chicken and her fried spam and tortillas, her nephew, Daniel Abrego’s favorite. She was of the apostolic faith and a member of Hill Apostolic Church.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Casimira Dominguez; her sisters, Ester, Josephine, and Esperanza; and her brothers, Silvero, Roy, Juan, Ray and Joe.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Manuel Abrego and their seven children, Nancy and husband, Pedro Galeana of Durham, North Carolina, Israel and wife, Barbie Abrego, Jeremiah and wife, Kristi Abrego, Sarah and husband, Remigio Ramirez, Emmanuel and wife, Deborah Abrego, Jolie and husband, Angel Carrillo, and Vanessa and husband, Jose Arriaga, all of Hillsboro, Texas; fifteen grandchildren, Bianca and husband, Basilio Gauna III, Aaron and wife, Angelica Abrego, Brando, Anna and husband, Rodrigo Cubias, Ethan, Kelsey, Eli, Hannah, Maddox, Tatum, Caleb, Evan, Maddie Jo, Lucas and Silas, AKA, Baby; five great grandchildren, Aleks, Ezra, Emery, Elliana, Basillio IV; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
