Sarah Henderson

Sarah Ann Henderson, 43, of Itasca passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, at her residence. Her family will host a memorial service at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Shepherds Valley Cowboy Church in Alvarado with Pastor Russ Weaver officiating.

Born June 4, 1973 in Ft. Worth, she was the daughter of Clarence W. and Linda L. (Watson) Howell. She was a 1991 graduate of Sam Houston High School in Arlington. Sarah was united in marriage to Kenneth D. Henderson on August 27, 1993 in Ft. Worth. She later moved to Itasca in 1999, there she had her daughter, Kyra, in 2000. During her working career, Sarah was employed at Hologic Imagining as a care specialist for 10 years.

Sarah was a long time sufferer of Crohn’s disease. She was a big proponent for women’s health and breast cancer awareness and helped open up the women’s center at J.P.S. in Ft Worth.

Preceding her in death was her grandmother, Lucille Howell.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Henderson of Itasca; parents, Clarence and Linda Howell of Itasca; two children, Chelsea Wallace of Austin and Kyra Henderson of Itasca; brother, Ronnie Howell and his wife, Sheila, of The Colony; best friends, Dawn Mace of Wills Point and Lee Thornbury of Ohio; and many loving relatives, friends, and equine family.
