Sarah Dell Killough, 76, of Burleson, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by family. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro with Brian Tullos officiating.
Sarah was born January 19, 1945, in Hill County to Carl & Myrah Dell Hammock. She attended schools in Irene and Bynum, graduating in 1963. Sarah went on to graduate from UT Arlington in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She was united in marriage to Dwain Killough of Hubbard, TX April 18, 1964, in the Irene Baptist Church. Sarah was a devout Christian and a lifelong member of the Baptist church which included 45 years of volunteering for the Volunteer Christian Builders and served numerous churches as a pianist. She taught school for the Grand Prairie school district for many years before beginning her career at American Airlines. After retiring from American Airlines, she and Dwain devoted their lives to mission work in the state of Vermont.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dwain; sons Chris Killough & wife Tammy of Grand Prairie, Mark Killough & wife Cheryl of Boyd; brother, Ken Hammock & wife Pat of Justin; sister, Julie Belyea & husband Kenny of Bynum. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

North American Mission Board of SBC, 4200 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, GA, 30022. Make it out to NAMB.
Vermont Special Projects Fund, Baptist Foundation of New England, 87 Lincoln Street, Northborough, MA, 01532, Make check to BFNE and write “VT Special Projects Fund” on the memo line.
