Shannon Lewis

Shannon Kay Lewis, 50 of Hillsboro passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at Homestead Nursing Center in Hillsboro. She will lie in state beginning at 9:00 AM Monday, November 2, 2015 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. The family will be present for visitation on Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM. No services are scheduled.

Shannon was born April 27, 1965 in Anadarko, OK to Melvin and Donna Kay (Woodson) Morris. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed being outdoors. Shannon lived her life to the fullest and was a very strong-willed person. Music was very important to her, and she had a great fondness for animals, especially dogs and cats. Shannon was a devoted mother and loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Kelly Kimble, grandson Eli Lewis and infant brother, Baby George.

Survivors include three children; Tabitha Lewis and Nicholas Braswell, Steven Lewis and wife, Heather, and Dayanera Lewis and Caleb Payne; two brothers, Wade Morris and John Morris; one sister, Chiquita Petross; and eight grandchildren, Serenity, Emryld, Matthew, Destiny, Norman,Jr., Jaden, Zaylee, and Gracie.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, PO Box 410, Hillsboro, TX 76645 to assist family with funeral expenses.
