Sharon Lynn (Baskett) Burns

Sharon Lynn (Baskett) Burns, age 78, passed away on December 5, 2024 at her home in Whitney, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2024 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas.

Sharon was born December 4, 1946 in Nolan County to her parents, Elmer and Selma Jo Baskett.

She graduated from La Marque High School in 1965, then attended California State University Eastbay in Hayward, California, were she got her degree in law. Sharon worked for the Jones Day Law firm in Dallas, Texas, from August 19, 1988 to July 1997.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Gerald Wayne Burns.

Left to cherish Sharon's memory is her daughter, Stacie Hatfield and husband Noel of Whitney, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations.
