Sharon George

Sharon George, age 66, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday morning, July 25, 2015, in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 28 at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Amy Anderson of Line Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home.

On May 18, 1949, Sharon was born in Hillsboro to Albert Jessie and Chessie (Huggins) Williams. She and Dr. Ralph W. George were married on April 22, 1977. For a number of years, she was the Director of Medical Records for Lake Whitney Medical Center in Whitney. She was also a dedicated member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro where she loved to sing in the choir.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Albert "Tinker" Williams and David Williams. Her survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Dr. Ralph W. George of Hillsboro; three sons, Robert George and wife, Margaret, of Waco, Jerry George and wife, Gina, of Waco, and Terry George and wife, Debbie, of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Sandra Ivie and husband, Johnny, of Whitney; sister in law, Jeannie Williams, widow of David, of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren, Jonathan George, Matt George, Katie Foster, Blake George, Cody Harvey, Robert "Bobby" George, Jr., Jackson George, Georgia Holland and Hank Holland; four great-grandchildren, William George, Waylon George, Landon Harvey, and Yazmynn Harvey; sister- and brother-in-law, Georgia and John Cunningham and their daughter, Leah Kay; and special friends, Kay McCleary & the McCleary Family.
