Sharon Maxine Minchew

Sharon Maxine Robertson Runnels Minchew, 80, of Frost, passed away on December 8, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 12, 2017, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro with Rev. Darrel Phillips and Rev. Melissa Graham officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at Duren Cemetery near Mullin. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Sharon was born in Comanche on November 30, 1937, to John and Minnie (Flippo) Robertson. She grew up in Comanche and moved to Hillsboro when she was a senior in high school. On Jul 26, 1958, she married Glendon Runnels who was serving in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Killeen. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2004. She lived in the Euless area most of her working life and moved back to Hillsboro in 1998. She loved to travel and was a very active member of Line Street United Methodist Church. She later married William Minchew and he preceded her in death on November 21, 2014.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Garland Roberston and Gerald Roberston.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Walker and husband, Leonard of Hillsboro and Paul Runnels and wife, Angela of Whitney; a sister, Carol Markel of Fort Worth; a brother, Stan Robertson of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Johnny Willis of Bedford, Grant Walker and wife, Ruth of Hillsboro and Brianna Runnels of North Richland Hills; five great-grandchildren, Arryana Willis, Phoenix Walker, Zachary Walker, Glendon Willis and Aiden Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
