Shawn Turner, 45 of Whitney passed away on September 6, 2011.
Funeral services for Shawn Turner will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Marshall & Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Danny Gilliam officiating. Interment will follow at Whitney Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Whitney from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday evening.
Shawn was born July 6, 1966 in Clifton. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed the sport of pool. He worked in asbestos abatement. Preceding him in death were his grandfather, W. A. "Bill" Stansberry, step-father, Curry Johnson, and grandparents Vera and Weldon Turner.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Michael and Marla Turner, his mother, Linda Johnson, and son, Trey Turner, all of Whitney; a brother, Scott Turner and a sister, Ashley Turner; grandmother, Ladean "Mim" Hill and uncle and aunt, Jesse and Sabrina Stansberry, all of Whitney; and a number of cousins.
Trey was the love of Shawn's life. Shawn will be sorely missed by all.
