Sherri Sinkule, 48, of Kaufman passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at her residence. Memorial services will held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Mike McReynolds of Church on The Hill in Hillsboro officiating.
Sherri was born March 3, 1963 in Abbott to Barney and Margie (Morgan) Smith. She grew up in Abbott and Hillsboro and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Hill College. For a number of years during the 1980's, she worked for Wal-Mart in Hillsboro.
On October 28, 1989 she married David Sinkule in Abbott. After marriage, she worked for Dr. David Skelton for several years. In September 1992, the couple moved to Peeltown in the Kemp School District. She was very active there with the parent-student organization working in many projects including installation of the school marquee. Sherri was a devoted Mom who always attended and supported her children in their activities. For the past five years, she operated her own accounting business in Kaufman.
Preceding her in death was her father.
Survivors include her husband David Sinkule of Kaufman; mother, Margie Smith of Hillsboro; four children, Kayla Sinkule and Amber Williams and husband, William Barber, all of Dallas, Jennifer Watson and husband, Ferris, of Kaufman, and Daryl Sinkule of Houston; four brothers, David Smith and wife, Carolyn, of Angleton, Mike Smith and wife, Linda, of Lake Jackson, Tommy Smith and wife, Terry, of Whitney, and Ricky Smith of Hillsboro; three sisters, Carolyn Long and husband, Trent, of Plano, Cathye Miller and husband, Steve, of Carl’s Corner, and Terri Kelm and husband, Gary, of Malone; two grandchildren, Emma and Brooks Watson and soon to be grandson, Max Barber; and a number of nieces and nephews.
