Sherry was born on April 24, 1925 near Caddo Lake in East Texas to Henry Ralph and Vena Victoria Bradley Moore. She grew up in East Texas near Marshall and Caddo Lake and graduated from Pine Tree High School. In 1952 she moved to Hillsboro from Fort Worth. In 1960 she started Sherry?s Hitch?n Post which she operated until the early 1990's. She enjoyed playing bridge and had served as a sponsor for Les Causes Club in years past. She loved to travel, especially trips with the First Ladies Club of Waco. Sherry was very outgoing and never met a stranger. For over 20 years she enjoyed the companionship of her parrot ?Paco?. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother Jack Moore; and three sisters, Wanda Brazzil, Margaret Schriver, and Rosemary Britt. Survivors include her step-mother, Mary Moore of Marshall; two daughters, Jan Davis and husband, Rick, of Duncanville and Kimberlee Bennick of Houston; a sister, Betty Martin of Troup; three gandchildren, Jayme Cox and husband, Chris, of Midlothian, Ashlee Bennick of Houston, and Brady Bennick of Houston; one great-grandson, Jackson Cole Cox of Midlothian; special friends, Allen and Geneva Davis of Whitney and Troy and Mabel Goodman of Hillsboro; and members of ?The Feisty Four?, Frances Jackson, Maureen DeFord, and Edna Orr.
