Shirley Thompson

Shirley Ann Thompson, 61, died Thursday, August 31, 2006, at her residence in Whitney. Shirley was born November 26, 1944 in Hillsboro, Texas the daughter of Cecil Lloyd and Dorothy Cunningham Earl. She grew up in the Hillsboro and Whitney areas. On June 6, 1996 she married Danny Thompson. For several years she worked as a home health care worker. She was a member of Aquilla Missionary Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Preceding her in death were her parents, three sons, Kenneth, Michael, and Robert Braziel; and one granddaughter, Regina Kay Braziel. Survivors include her husband, Danny Thompson of Whitney; children, Joe Braziel of Whitney, vance Braziel of Joshua, Wayne Braziel of Cleburne, Dorothy Turner of Blum, Jess Braziel, Jr. of Fort Worth, and David Braziel of Gatesville; brothers, David Upchurch of Godley, Gary Upchurch of Burleson, and Hollis Upchurch of Magnolia, sisters, Edna Calhoun of Burleson and Glenda Walker of Godley; and 12 grandchildren.
