Sibyl Clinkscales

Sibyl Gant Clinkscales, 93, of Hillsboro passed into eternal life on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Town Hall Estates. She was born in the Oklahoma panhandle on September 5, 1916 but moved to Hill County in 1935. In 1938 she married Skeet Clinkscales, who preceded her in death in 1968. She later married Dude Clinkscales in 1970, who also preceded her in 1985. She was an active member of Walnut Street Baptist Church for over 60 years. She served in many volunteer roles in the community, including Candy Stripers, Meals on Wheels, the school lunchroom, and the nursing home, before and after she became a resident. She loved to serve others with a genuine smile and a word of encouragement from the Bible. She loved her Lord Jesus, her family, and her community. Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Town Hall Estates, for their love and care, over the last 12 years. She is survived by 3 sons, Gary Jo Clinkscales of Hillsboro, James Janie Clinkscales of Keller, Doak Vickie Clinkscales of Benbrook; one brother Norris Dorothy Gant of Hurst; nine Clinkscales grandchildren, Jason, April, Jonathan, Jared, Andy, Matthew, Scott, Jeff, and Ben; and 11 great-grandchildren.
