Sidney Deloris (Goldman) Carter

Sidney Deloris (Goldman) Carter, age 85, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at her residence in Whitney, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Whitney Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Marshall and Marshall.

Sidney was born on Saturday, May 8, 1937 in Rockwall, Texas to her loving parents Tom Goldman and Ruth Marie Strother. She was the owner of a Bible Bookstore and was also a caregiver. Sidney loved spending time with her family and friends, she was loved and will be deeply missed by everyone.

Sidney is preceded in death by both parents; 3 sons, Ricky Carter, Randy Carter and Danny Carter; husbands, Tom Carter and Rodney Yale; as well as her sister in-law, Deanna Beal.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Walden Pancho Goldman and Tommy Jack Goldman; her son, Thomas (Mickey) Carter and wife Serena; grandchildren, Michele Carter, Jeffery Carter, Cody Carter and Danielle Carter; 9 step-children; 6 great-grandchildren, Johnathan Maynard, Austin Maynard, Lala Carter, Christopher Ray, Kylie Nikole and Maverick Carter; many step-great grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jack Maynard, Velma Maynard and Freya Maynard.
