Stanley Goodman

Stanley Goodman, 79 of Whitney passed away on Oct. 4, 2008. He was born on July 14, 1929 in Clarksville, TX to Robert and Alice Stanley Goodman. He grew up in Kilgore. In 1961, he married Pat Love. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a firefighter for 36 years in Arlington. After his retirement he was a chaplain for Prison Ministries for a few years. He was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Alvarado. He had lived in Grandview for 30 years before moving to Whitney about a month ago. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Pat of Whitney; children, Chuck Goodman and wife, Cari of Grandview, Sherry Canales and husband Victor of Whitney, Anita Paige of Fort Worth; five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
