Born to Fred and Margaret Howard on September 25, 1946 in Harlan, Kentucky, Rowdy was born into a family of coal miners. A humorous man and full of life, there was never a dull moment in his presence. He was adventurous all around from his love of constructing aircraft and flying, to enjoying a leisurely ride with his beloved wife on his Harley. This showed true in his work where he hauled cattle for many years in his prized Peterbilt. In other years he served in the United States Air Force, traveled the country helping develop communications, and in his free time he raced cars and rodeoed. Through out his life, he gained respect from many and left an unforgettable impression on everyone who was blessed to cross his path. Ultimately he was an ideal husband, a proud father, and his most precious moments were those he spent with family, joking around, laughing, smiling, happy and content. He was a leader, loyal to his family and friends, and passionate about his parrots. A generous soul with a big heart, he showed an immense love for those he cared about.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Howard; daughter; Tanya Schneider and husband, Brian; sons, Clint Howard and wife, Karen, and Steven Howard and fiancé, Beverly; granddaughter, Megan Howard; grandson, Dakota Thompson; and great-granddaughter, Cherilynn Johns.
May you rest in peace.
