Steven Ferris

Steven Obie Ferris, 75 of Laguna Park passed away on March 19, 2012.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Laguna Park Community Church with Rev. Doug Evans officiating.

Steven was born on November 16, 1936 in Richwood, West Virginia to the late Orville and Beulah (Creasy) Ferris. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean conflict serving a total of 16 years receiving his final rank of Sargent. He worked as regional manager for Proctor and Gamble for 22 years retiring in 1983. On April 2, 1983, he married Patrichia Dyer in Corpus Christi. They lived in Hurst before moving to Laguna Park in 1992. Steven was of the Baptist faith and a member of the VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Pat of Laguna Park; children, Mark Ferris and wife, Danna of Houston, Lori Acuna and husband, Tom of Corpus Christi. Scott Ferris of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Lee Ferris and wife, Claudia of Chino, California; sisters, Shirley Harkness and husband, Jim of Leesburg, Florida, Denise Ferris-Vick and husband, H. C. of Calhan, Colorado, Deborah Hornburg and husband, Gary of Ashland, Kentucky, Dorcas Losh and husband, Steven of Leesburg, Virginia, Dorthea Wyant of Martinsburg, West Virginia; grandchildren, Matthew Ferris, Aaron Acuna and Isabella Ferris.
